Spectrum Software Technology, Inc. (SST) as subcontractor to Basic Commerce and Industries, Inc (BCI), is proud to have been recently awarded a 5-year contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Weather Office for Aviation Weather Technical and Engineering Support Services (AWTESS). The scope or work contains the development of new and enhanced aviation weather capabilities and systems. The detail of this procurement includes improvement of sensing, processing, forecasting, integration, and dissemination of weather information to reduce the impact of weather on National Airspace System (NAS) operations. It includes requirements in engineering and other technical resources and experience necessary to research, design, develop and test weather capabilities and to evaluate and maintain weather systems and capabilities.
